Good/Bad news for you all today!
The Good: Benediction are now CONFIRMED for the 9th October (Saturday) tickets will be on sale, at a mere £6 which is excellent to see a band of this stature you must admit! So get those tickets quick as we only have 120 left! Please spread the word and show up! A Few magazines will be about reviewing this gig, so you have the chance of getting interviews/having your photo taken!
The Bad: Unfortunately the entire Impiety gig has been canceled due to us not being able to reach full agreements with Argon Records. Very sorry for the inconvenience but we did try our best, but to no avail. So please note the IMPIETY, ATOMIZER, VIDSYN gig (17th october) is CANCELED!
More Good: Bilskirnir are now in talks to start our own Webzine, so head on over to the forums if you want to suggest anything or help out!
More Bad: Unfortunately the Bilskirnir E-Mail is having a few problems, so mail to us may get returned, never arrive, or be late. Please bare with us, i'm currently in the process of kicking our website hosts' asses into getting it sorted. I've been guranteed it will be 100% fixed by this weekend, so if you've tried to e-mail us since thursday, be patient and try again on saturday. Thanks!

Site is totally finished now, however i shall be adding a few more things in time!
Also, the next date for Bilskirnir is the 28th AUGUST - this is due to many gigs surrounding the usual time of Bilskirnir at the start of the August/September month, namely wacken & various other gigs, but i assure you we're planning something very special! You'll just have to wait and find out what it is right here! (but we might give a hint or 2 on the forum in the comming weeks!)

Many thanks to Nhyrvus for his help in creating a template for the site, you can reach him from the navigation bar on the left. Work still needs to be done but will hopefully be completed within the next 2 days including removal of some of the links and introducing new ones!

Unfortunately THE ENCHANTED have pulled out from their gig on the 12th June due to reasons beyond their and our control. You can read the official statement on their website ( www.theenchanted.co.uk ) but i can assure you we will re-book them as soon as their current conumdrum is fixed!
We unfortunately found out too late to book a replacement so we have dropped the door price from £4 to £3 before 9PM and £3.50 after 9PM.
However, i'm still 100% sure the night will be excellent with DESECRATION & ENDLESS TORMENT sporting what they have for a little longer + more time for DJ's!

Last night was an undoubted success! We were absoloutly rammed with metallers as far as the eye could see listening to some of the best metal to ever have reached Birmingham. Thanks to everyone who advertised, everyone who paid to get in! And everyone who makes the night work and well, a success. I hope to see a few of the new faces turned into regulars in time for the next night and to support extreme metal! I've now put the Febuary bands on the site, check them out - very badass. They are... IMMEMORIAL(pl) - HELLBORN(pl) - DETRIMENTUM(uk) and i have to say, this is the biggest one we've done yet and we REALLY NEED everyone to pull together on this one and show your support by attending the night and or helping to advertise it! Lastly thanks to Sarah from TOTAL ROCK for showing up and giving us some excellent feedback! Thanks to everyone i havn't mentioned, and keep it true!

Belated christmas wishes and happy new years to all of our supporters! Without you Bilskirnir wouldn't be around - so many many thanks to all of you. Ok now for the news.. All the bands are still confirmed with the mighty Desecration headlining. This is billed to be the best night so far, so don't miss it! Thanks to everyone that has helped out with flyering and spreading the word once again! Can street team members visit the team section and read the updated news too please? Lastly - we are currently in talks to host the latest primal fear album launch party - i will keep you updated!

The night went brilliantly with Bilskirnir raising a total of £160 for Charity! Thanks to everyone who showed up and to the bands who all made donations for charity too! The photos are now online, but only a select few. For all of them check out the link on the forums. There are lots i must warn you! The next flyer will be done in the next 1-2 days and we have 3 bands confirmed already (which we may tinker with but i shall keep you posted). Sorry to everyone who wanted to see Martin Walkyier but he was unable to attend. However he has said he will deffinately come to a following night, we are discussing it with him! If you have any input then please contact me or post on the forum! Thanks to Sean for sorting out some form of sponsorship and also Barney for organising the bands! And to everyone else that helped!

Everything seems to be running greatly for the following night, the flyering has taken a step up, and i've now started a dedicated street team for the event, as you can see above, there is a team link. Please click that and scroll to the bottom and find street team. All you have to do is print off the flyer and put it everywhere! And i'll also put your name/photo onto the list too. Photo's should be 100x100 pixels large please! Just e-mail them to me with your name etc. and i'll put it on. Final band is now confirmed for the 5th of December event. They are Ruins Of Amber - the other bands are Endless Torment & Viable . More news to follow, and please check out the new flyer. We urgently require volunteers for flyering - so if you can help, e-mail myself and say so, i'll send you a small info pack on it! Many thanks to those who help out! Lastly, we are seeking sponsorship from somewhere, hopefully to excell the popularity of the night (these things aren't free & it's getting more and more expensive!) More news! 2 bands now confirmed for the 5th of december charity event for Chuck Schuldiner . They are.. Viable and Endless Torment ( back by popular demand ) we are still waiting for a final band to be confirmed, but it shouldn't be too long! Flyers will be uploaded ASAP we are currently in talks with yet another foreign band to play, and i will update with news as soon as i get it. Last night was truely awesome, a big thanks to everyone who showed up, helped out, and played. All 4 bands were without a doubt awesome. We had never seen crowd surfing and stage diving at a pub gig before. So look forward to the next event on Friday 5th December for the Chuck Schuldiner tribute with an appearance from Martin Walkyier (return to the sabbat & skyclad) !!
Hopefully this time the organisers won't be paraletic *cough*. The flyers for this next event will be on the site VERY soon, we left it very late last time, and we won't repeat our mistakes! Stay true to metal and to Bilskirnir!

We now have Friday the 7th of November confirmed at the Royal George - sorry to everyone expecting a saturday, but we weren't in time to block book the venue for then. Hopefully every event after will take place on a saturday instead! Please remember it's a friday this time though! We're in talks with bands to play the night currently, however we do have UK Black Metal kings Grindelvaald confirmed for the night! And we are currently in talks with the other 2 bands to sort the other remaining 2 spots out. If your in a band or friends with one or even if you manage one and they are part of the extreme metal scene, please don't hestitate to contact about playing! The official night draws closer - only a mere few days left until Birmingham experiences the best extreme metal night in it's lineage. So be there for the first one! Also, some people may still be confused as to the location, those saying 'extreme metal night at the market tavern' are WRONG - we had originally got the market tavern as our venue, but things didn't go too well so we have moved to the ROYAL GEORGE - please correct everyone who's spreading mis-information! Thanks! One last thing, there will be a ZERO TOLERANCE ON ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES - if you are caught with any of these you will be ejected from the venue and possibly into the hands of the police depending on how the venue manager wishes to handle it.
